“Smart wallet”: a necessary invention or a complete failure?

In 2014 Armenian IT-managers decided to start their own startup IT-project and now we are witnessing this fascinating wallet, which is available everywhere now. This wallet even has its own brand named Volterman. The concept of it is simple, yet revolutionary. A smart wallet that can be tracked, located and returned to its rightful owner via features like worldwide GPS tracking, a “Thief Detection Camera” and a distance alarm. The wallet also operates as a global Wi-Fi hotspot and includes a built-in power bank; transforming an everyday object into a useful tool, which can charge your phone as well as help you find it. Alongside all of these features, the wallet also looks good; made from premium-quality leather with good stitching that makes it just as fashionable as it is durable.

Only just yesterday, a famous YouTuber, who is popular for unwrapping and reviewing new devices, Wylsacom, made a video about this invention. “I think this is a very interesting item, but there is one nuance here. A tech wallet is not as wild as it sounds. We have smart toothbrushes, smart homes, smart everything, and why not make the wallet smart. Nevertheless, the wallet itself, in my opinion today, is a kind of atavism. Nowadays everyone has everything in their phones, so then why do we need it? Question with no actual answer. However, yes, there are also those, who might say that I do not understand it and the wallet is an accessory. In addition, there are still those people who keep cash with them.”, said Valentin Petukhov, better known as Wylsacom.

Residents of Shymkent are pleased by repair work
