When we had received this task, I already knew that I want this
Infographics to be as unique as possible. I came up with this idea randomly
when I was scrolling down the Instagram feed.
On Tuesday evening (09.02.21), I started to look through this topic. I
compared the use of Instagram Stories among males and females. At first, I
noticed that females are more active in the evening. There were 20 new stories
from females’ accounts and 7 stories posted by men, considering the fact that I
follow 95 people in there. The next day morning (10.02.21) I realized that even
in the morning females are likely to make more stories than males. However, in
this time of the day women post them not so often. Regarding the afternoon period,
the tendency is still the same. Girls make more stories than boys do, but not
so much in total. Males are tend to be quiet in Instagram in the morning and
afternoon, but be active in the evening.
Talking about content of the Stories, females post more selfies of
themselves and tiktoks with their friends. Whilst, men try to post more their
driving skills or their workplace.
Also it is important to note that I did not consider the fact that they
had previous stories, which they made before my research.
