Nurlybek Asylbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Control Committee, spoke about the research of the Karaganda vaccine "Sputnik V":
"According to the technological process, an experimental release was developed for Sputnik V. This experimental release was sent to the Gamaleya Institute in Russia in order to test it. It is still in process of testing. In accordance with the regulatory documents that allow its control and quality, this will last for one month. Until today, the results have not yet arrived. If vaccination is possible, Karaganda pharmaceutical complex will produce more in case of worsening of the situation. We hope that by the end of February a batch of vaccines will be ready for vaccination."
Also, he noted that on December 25, a clinical study of the Kazakh vaccine "KazCOVID-in" was started. On January 11, the vaccination of 3 thousand volunteers ended. Now doctors are monitoring their condition.
