Hazrat Sultan International Airport


The first largest airport built in Kazakhstan since its independence has already opened. It is located 16 km away from the city center, in the village of Chaga.

In order to increase the amount of tourists in the Turkestan region, it is planned to launch direct flights between Turkestan - Mecca (Saudi Arabia) once every two days. Moreover, the Turkish Airlines will open flights to Istanbul permitting a 3-4 flights per week at the initial stage, with further changes.

Also, nowadays the issue of opening the international community for the Turkic countries in Turkestan is being studied. 

Therefore, Turkestan will become the spiritual center of the Turkic world and will become more accessible for tourists and pilgrims.

Electronic ticketing system "Tolem"

In October 15, 2020, the "Tolem" electronic ticket system has been introduced in public transports of Shymkent. The project is being invested by the organization "QazSmartTrans". The volume of investments is 1.2 billion tenge. Today, almost 1,250,000 passengers have used the TOLEM card. You can top up the card through QIWI terminals, as well as through the OpenShymkent and Kaspi.kz mobile applications. Why do we need Sharks?
